CPA

Hubley Phillips & Williams, PLLP has an immediate need for a highly motivated CPA or CPA candidate with 2-5 years of tax and/or public accounting experience. A qualified candidate will be expected to deliver quality tax and accounting services for our clients.  Vacation, sick leave, health insurance, medical expense reimbursement plan, and 401(k) plan are available.

Essential duties and responsibilities include

  • Prepare corporate, partnership, individual, trust, and estate tax returns
  • Resolve routine to complex accounting and tax problems
  • Identify and assist with implementation of tax planning and consulting opportunities
  • Research tax issues and prepare memorandums and other written correspondence supporting research findings
  • Client accounting and payroll, closing of the books in order to prepare tax returns
  • Communicate directly with clients via meetings, telephone, letters, and e-mail

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree in Taxation a plus
  • Two to five years of tax and/or public accounting experience
  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • Able to operate in a paperless workplace with a proficient working knowledge of computers
  • Proficiency in the use of computerized accounting software. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and tax research software
  • Demonstrates an enthusiasm to learn and expand one’s technical tax and accounting expertise
  • Self-starter
  • Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task
  • Honest, positive, professional and respectful

Compensation

Bookkeeper/Accountant

Hubley Phillips & Williams PLLP has an immediate need for a highly motivated bookkeeper/accountant. Public accounting experience is a plus for this position, but, not a requirement.  A qualified candidate will be expected to deliver quality accounting services for our clients, and assist with in house bookkeeping and payroll.

Essential duties and responsibilities include

  • Prepare monthly accounting projects for multiple clients
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Process payroll
  • Prepare quarterly tax reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in accounting preferred
  • Two to five years of tax and/or accounting experience
  • Proficient in QuickBooks accounting software
  • Able to operate in a paperless work environment with a proficient working knowledge of computers
  • Proficiency in the use of computerized accounting software. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Demonstrates an enthusiasm to learn and expand one's technical and accounting expertise
  • Self-starter
  • Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task

Receptionist

Hubley Phillips & Williams PLLP has an immediate need for a receptionist. As a receptionist you will be the ambassador of our company's first impressions on clients, guests, and visitors. It is your foremost responsibility to compassionately greet all incoming clients, guests, and visitors and assist them while maintaining a high level of company and client confidentiality. You will be professionally answering phone calls in a polite tone and re-directing calls to respective personnel. Also, as receptionist you will perform various front office duties including filing, handling and directing mail, etc. 

Job Description:

  • Answer incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel and departments.
  • Greet visitors/guests/members professionally, determining the nature and purpose of visit
  • Direct and escort visitors/guests/members to appropriate destination or waiting rooms
  • Collect, sort, distribute and prepare correspondence, mail, messages and courier deliveries
  • Schedule appointments maintaining & updating calendars, reminding respective personnel of the appointments
  • Create and prints fax sheets, memos, mail, reports and other documents
  • Receive payments, record receipts for services and handle and reconcile all petty cash 
  • May be required to perform basic clerical duties, such as faxing office notes and photocopying
  • Assist with Admin and HR tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma/G.E.D
  • Experience: 1-2 years of related experience. (Experience in an office environment will be preferred)
  • Ability to build positive relationships with high level of interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent talent to interact with people in a positive and courteous manner
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks according to importance in a fast paced environment
  • Multi-tasking capability without compromising on quality
  • Must be proficient in handling office equipment including complex multiple lined telephones, printers, photocopy machines etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, specifically MS Word and Excel.
